Dear Parents/Guardians,
Third grade will be taking their MCA Math test this week. Again, please make sure they get a good nights rest!! We will provide breakfast during this time for all 3rd grade students. Encourage your child to do their best and take their time. I still have treat bags to help them during the test. They will do great!Spelling for grade 2 will focus on prefix -un. Grade 3 spelling will focus on /k/ spelled ck, ic,and x.
Spelling gr 2~ fair-unfair, happy-unhappy, load-unload, fold-unfold, afraid-unafraid, likely-unlikely
Spelling gr 3~ attack, traffic, complex, prefix, ticket, freckle, Limerick, electric (cursive and print)
Math for grade 2 and 3 will finish Topic 14 with a test on Friday
Science and Social Studies is doing a review game.
May 19th grade 2 will be going to Como Zoo and grade 3 will be going to Fort Snelling. More information to come. Track and Field day is May 22 (this is and all day event!!)

Get them to read another one
Find ways to encourage your child to pick up another book. Introduce him or her to a series like The Boxcar Children or Harry Potter or to a second book by a favorite author, or ask the librarian for additional suggestions.
