Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are starting the next round of testing season!! Third grade will be taking their MCA Reading test this week. Please make sure they get a good nights rest!! We will provide breakfast during this time for all 3rd grade students. Encourage your child to do their best and take their time. I have treat bags to help them during the test. They will do great!Spelling for grade 2 will focus on root words with -ly endings. Grade 3 spelling will focus on soft and hard "g".
Spelling gr 2~ close-closely, friend-friendly, real-really, gloomy-gloomily, happy-happily, angry-angrily, quiet-quietly, safe-safely, luck-luckily
Spelling gr 3~ gallon, gymnast, arrange, danger, message, guilty, gently, gingerbread (cursive and print)
Math for grade 2 will begin Topic 14 Capacity and Weight and 3 will begin Topic 14 Customary Measurement
Science this week will continue with weather. Social Studies will discuss Natural Resources.

Turn reading into something special. Take your kids to the library, help them get their own library card, read with them, and buy them books as gifts. Have a favorite place for books in your home or, even better, put books everywhere.
