Just wanted to give you all a heads up about Summer Academy for this summer.
Summer academy is a four week program (this year it will be four weeks in a row starting June 8th and done ). The times are Mon-Wed 8AM-noon and Thursdays are a field trip 8AM-3PM (no Fridays). Students invited to Summer Academy are selected for continued learning in reading/writing and mathematics based on the assessments for report cards and Read Well by Third Grade data. An invitation will be sent home the end of April for the Summer Academy opportunity
If you would like your child to attend summer academy please let me know, otherwise, I may be calling you in a week or so. This is a great opportunity for students to have fun and keeping their minds growing for a little longer. Summer academy helps to prevent summer academic loss as well! You will need to provide transportation to and from school each day. Car pooling works well :)
