Be sure to check the Wolf Ridge packing list a couple times. Make sure you have a white tee shirt at school for tie-dye (May 13), we wear these for track day. We are also going to be doing our last book report and a plain tee shirt will be needed for that as well. Upcoming dates: May 11 Mother's day, May 12 Music concert, May 13 Late start, May 23 Track-n-Field day, May 26 No School, June 4 6th grade graduation. Have a great week!

Wow, where did April go?? I can't believe how fast time is flying now!!! MCA make up days are complete for grade 6. Class picture day will be Thursday, May 1st. Wolf Ridge is May 7-9. Be sure to look over the packing list for Wolf Ridge, you don't want to be searching for things the night before. Track and Field day will be May 23, alternate is May 30. June 4th is 6th grade graduation, more to come on that. Have a great week and enjoy the weather...LOL!!

I hope you had a great weekend!! Apr. 16 (Wed.) and Apr. 17 (Thurs.) will be the last of MCA testing for grade 6. We will test Math in the afternoon again. This week we will be working on Grammar, Descriptive writing, and just good old fashion reading!! I will be showing the movie "Encanto" (PG) on Apr. 30 and having a discussion about Autism following. Please let me know if you do not want your child to watch the movie. Have a wonderful week!!

The students did a great job of taking their time on the reading MCA test last week. They all feel pretty confident they did well. As always, results will be sent in the fall with the new school year mailings. This week we are getting back to academics, not reviewing. We will be working on more grammar pieces, sentences, and starting our next writing topic Descriptive writing. Next Wed. and Thurs. will be math MCA. No school Friday (4-18 or Monday 4-21). In like a lamb, out like a lamb??? I guess living in MN we need to be ready for anything!! This should be a normal week (whatever normal might be). I will no longer be using the student planner for the remainder of the year. Next year the students do not get one, so I use this time getting them used to being responsible without their planner. If something major is coming up, I will send out an email. Please be sure I have your email address and that it is current. If you are getting my newsletter via email, you should be good to go. This week we will finish up our Nike persuasive essay, write our D.A.R.E. essay for graduation (Mar. 14th.), and review inferencing, Have a great week!

Well, I would like to say this is going to be a regular week but I can't. We have a fun day planned on Friday!!! Our ILTRM is coming to an end, we have a movie planned. Be sure to return the permission slip for the movie otherwise your child will not be allowed to watch. Friday is the last day of second trimester. That being said, we will be doing a lot of review during March. MCA testing for gr 6 Reading is Apr. 2-3. Math is Apr. 16-17!!! Please try to make sure your child is in school as much as possible. Spring break is the week of Mar. 24-281 Yearbook order forms due Feb. 281. This weeks studies will cover...Persuasive essay and wrap up our tin book report.  Have a great week!!!
