We have some fun dress up days this week, be sure to check the calendar to see what is going on each day. Lockers are full again, please send a garbage bag with your child so they can bring some goodies home to you :) I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and stay healthy!! Enjoy the break and I will see you next year!! I can't wait to see what 2025 brings us!  Class resumes Jan. 6!

I hope you had a nice weekend. A few things going on this week. Winter Wonderland dress up days!! Check the calendar each day for the attire!! Report cards will be printed Monday and ready for the Wednesday envelope. They will be in an envelope that you will sign and return to school. Tuesday is Late Start, wear Irish Pride shirts. This week we are working on Compare and Contrast (with Mona Lisa and an art heist), and conjunctions. Have a wonderful week!   Bring in a colorful or designed sock for Tuesday!!!!

Final grades will be turned in by the end of the week. You will get a paper copy of the report card in next weeks Wednesday envelope. Please keep the report card, sign the envelope, and return it to school. I will use that again for your child's Trimester 2 report card. Let me know if you have any questions. Our class will be working on a project during late start and would like an old sock with some design. It is going to be cut up!!! Please bring it to school by this Friday, thank you! This week we will learn about figurative language and start a Mona Lisa project.. Have a wonderful week!!

I would like to start with how Thankful I am for these students! What a bright group of kids!! Thank you for sharing them with us!! This week we are going to finish our Amazing Escape (key ideas and details). If your child was invited to catch up club, please return the forms this week. We start Dec. 3rd. Thank you for coming in and meeting with me concerning your child! It takes all of us to make sure your child has a successful school year. Please be sure to reach out if you ever have any concerns!  We finally have a full, normal week!!! I am excited about this!!! In class we will be writing an essay for the Veteran's day program. The local VFW/Legion will collect these and pick the best 3-4 to read at the program in Nov. October is Unity month. We are wearing orange to show support against bullying.  Also, picture retakes Wed.!!   I hope you had a nice, long weekend!!

Conferences this week, Oct. 14-15 from 4-7 and Oct. 16 from 8-3. The book fair will be open during this time. Homecoming week...it will be a week full of energy!! We do have some dress up days, optional! This week we are going to start our shoe box book report. Please help your child gather props to use (they will go home again). I am also hoping to get our Narrative writing piece done this week as well. That may or may not happen. If the day or time for your conferences with me does not work, please let me know asap and I will try to find a new slot for you. The book fair will be open during conferences next week.
