Happy Halloween!! I can hardly wait for Tuesday...LOL!! We will be collecting unopened candy for troops. Please send any candy to school with your child. This week we will begin Text structures, Adverbs, and The Fur trade in Soc. St. There was definitely something in the air last week. I hope whatever it was is gone now!!  FYI...  There is no school next Friday Nov. 10, teacher workshop!! Have a great week and stay healthy!!

Thank you for coming in and meeting with me concerning your child! It takes all of us to make sure your child has a successful school year. Please be sure to reach out if you ever have any concerns!  We finally have a full, normal week!!! I am excited about this!!! In class we will be learning about Text Features, Adjectives, and finishing up our Narrative essay. Math will begin Fractions. I hope you all had a great, long weekend!!  Also, picture retakes Wed.!!

Conferences this week, Oct. 16-17 from 4-7 and Oct. 18 from 8-3. The book fair will be open during this time. Purchases on Oct. 18 will need to be done by noon as the book fair will be taken down at that time. The Irish Spirit shop (HS commons area) will be open on Mon., Oct. 16. There are a lot of nice items to purchase!! Continue to wear orange on Fridays please!! Picture retake will be Oct. 25th. I am looking forward to meeting with you to celebrate your child! We have Late Start this Tuesday and National Hot Lunch Day. Grade six will be eating at 12:30 until 12:55. Students will go to recess after they eat. For safety reasons, you will need to say your good bye's in the cafeteria and not on the playground. Hope to see many of you there! Conferences are next week, Oct. 16-17 from 4-7 and Oct. 18 from 8-3. The book fair will be open during this time.
