Families,

Thank you for coming in and visiting with me concerning your child's education. I appreciate your flexibility with scheduling as well!!! A few changes coming our way in 6th grade. Character Ed. will start this week. Classes will be mixed groups. Band kids will join Ms. Malwitz on Thursday morning for class, and non-band kids will join Mr. Fuchs on Friday morning for class. We are also going to try a full week of Science and Soc. St. This week will be all Soc. St. with me. Next week, all Science with Mr. Fuchs. We are having a hard time getting in all the material only meeting 2x a week. I love to read month starts Wed. Each family will get a book to read together. We ask you read one chapter a night. The following day, prizes will be given for correct answers from the previous reading. Rise and Read Wed., 7:30-8 (donuts until 7:45). We hope you enjoy the activities and the book!! What an exciting week we had last week!! We had our Spelling Bee and Powder Ridge!! I am very proud of the kids and trying so hard learning a new skill. By the end of the day we had some pretty happy and tired students!!! I look forward to meeting with you again and discussing all the accomplishments your child is having!! If you are not able to make your conference for some reason, please call the office and they will send me a message. We can always reschedule it. I hope you enjoyed the long weekend!!  Have a great week and I will see you either Tuesday or Thursday!

Holy Cow, we will definitely have enough snow for our ski trip coming up!!!!! Ski trip is Jan. 19. Your child will bring home a packet with several permission slips. Please fill out all the information and return to school noted on the first page. I hope it isn't a freezing day!! This week we have our NWEA Reading test. Again, it is only for a few students. Conferences are coming up Jan. 24 and 26. If you have any questions or concerns before hand, please let me know!!  Have a great week!!

I hope you had a great break and some much needed family time!!! It will be nice to get back into a regular routine again. For a select few students, we will be having the NWEA tests coming up soon. If you want your child testing, email Ms. Malwitz or Mr. Fuchs and let us know. Mr. Fuchs will be choosing the math students and Ms. Malwitz will choose Reading students. When we have the dates available, we will let you know. Reminder that the pizza fundraiser will be starting soon. Please do your best to sell pizzas. This helps keep the cost for Wolf Ridge down.
