I hope you had a great break and some much needed family time!!! It will be nice to get back into a regular routine again. We will have another FastBridge assessment next week. This will give us an update on your child's academic growth up to this point. We will go over results during January conferences.  Reminder that the pizza fundraiser will be starting soon. Please do your best to sell pizzas. This helps keep the cost for Wolf Ridge down. Our studies for this week will cover analytical skills (true crime pod cast), direct-indirect objects, the US Dakota War, and Expository writing. Have a great week and welcome to 2024!!

We have some fun dress up days this week, be sure to check the calendar to see what is going on each day. I hope you had a nice weekend and were able to spend time with your family. A few things going on this week. Report cards will be printed Monday and ready for the Wednesday envelope. They will be in an envelope that you will sign and return to school. Tuesday is Late Start, wear Irish Pride shirts. This week we are working on Compare and Contrast (with Mona Lisa and an art heist), conjunctions, Civil war, and narrative writing. Final grades will be turned in by the end of the week. You will get a paper copy of the report card in next weeks Wednesday envelope. Please keep the report card, sign the envelope, and return it to school. I will use that again for your child's Trimester 2 report card. Let me know if you have any questions. Our class will be working on a project during late start and would like an old sock with some design. It is going to be cut up!!! Please bring it to school by this Friday, thank you! This week we will finish the escape room and begin a Mona Lisa lesson, conjunctions, and The Civil War. Have a wonderful week!!

I would like to start with how Thankful I am for these students! What a bright group of kids!! Thank you for sharing them with us!! This week we are going to finish our Fishing guide pamphlet, and Soc. St. test on Wednesday. The dance on Wed. is at the Maple Lake Legion. What a nice program the students put on Thursday for the Veterans!! A good group of singers! Back to a regular week of academics. This week the students will work on Craft and Structure, Comparative adj. and adv., Land Changes Hands in Soc. St., and continue Heart studies in Sci. It looks like a lot of winter sports are starting this week. Make sure your child is aware of their practice times, I do not get notice of these. Thank you, and again I hope you had a nice, long weekend ~ have a great week!!

To the deer hunters, I hope you have luck and stay safe! To the non-deer hunters, I hope you enjoy the long weekend! A busy week ahead of us!! We have our Veteran's Day program at 9:00 a.m. in the HS auditorium. If you chose to join us, please be sure to sign in at the Elementary Office first. Thank you to those that donated to the APEX fun run. Our goal is to replace the playground. This week we will continue with Text Structure, Adverbs, and The Fur Trade.

Happy Halloween!! I can hardly wait for Tuesday...LOL!! We will be collecting unopened candy for troops. Please send any candy to school with your child. This week we will begin Text structures, Adverbs, and The Fur trade in Soc. St. There was definitely something in the air last week. Conferences this week, Oct. 16-17 from 4-7 and Oct. 18 from 8-3. The book fair will be open during this time. Purchases on Oct. 18 will need to be done by noon as the book fair will be taken down at that time. The Irish Spirit shop (HS commons area) will be open on Mon., Oct. 16. There are a lot of nice items to purchase!! Continue to wear orange on Fridays please!! Picture retake will be Oct. 25th. I am looking forward to meeting with you to celebrate your child!
