Families,
How can it be the last week of Sept. already? Well, a pretty quiet week finally. Right now we are really trying to get back into the procedures and expectations of school. That is taking us a little longer than I was hoping, but a little better each day. We are low on meat sales for our fund raiser. Please try and do your best to help out with this activity as it will help cover Wolf Ridge costs. Book logs have begun...they should come back to school each day so I can check them over each morning. Thank you!! That's all for now. Have a great week!!

Families,
Typical MN weather...hot then chilly. Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather. I understand with todays fashion it is hard to find shorts long enough, and tops that are longer, if you would please be sure to send your young lady to school with shorts that are long enough to cover the cheeks. Some have been pretty short and I would feel bad if people started talking about that area. Along those lines, the crop tops should not be worn at school (unless they are wearing another top over to cover the belly). There is a section in the planner that goes over dress code if you are wondering what it is. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
We have a Rachel's Challenge presentation on Monday morning. The speakers will cover the events that happened in Columbine, CO. It is grade appropriate and teaches the students the importance of being kind and to include everyone in all things.
I am looking forward to having a regular week soon!! I need my routine!! Have a great week!!

NWEA Math Change

My NWEA Math test is moved to Friday from 10:30-12, not Thursday.

Please make sure your child is at school. It is also picture day....we go at 8:35.

Have a great night!

Ms. Malwitz

Chromebooks gr 6 Malwitz's Class

Families,

If you did not pick up a Chromebook during Open House, I have sent home a Chromebook agreement for you to sign. You will need to get one from the school. This is because our I.T. department may not be able to trouble shoot your device and the internet they run on is guest. The school chromebooks are on student internet and will run faster. I guess less headaches in the long run.

Please return as soon as you can.

Thank you!

Ms. Malwitz

Picture Day 8:35

Dear Families,

We are off to a great start!!! The students are showing their Irish Expectations every day!! We will continue to work on these all throughout the year. We are going to start switching classes this week for Language Arts, Math, and Soc. St. After the NWEA tests, we will look at the scores and during conferences I will go over test results and answer any questions you may have at that time. If you have questions now, please call me or send a note. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have concerning anything here at MLE. I will always have a hard copy of my newsletter in your child's planner every Monday. The spelling list will be printed on the back side as well. If you would like to receive my blog/newsletter by email, fill out the BLOG form (from open house) and return it to school. I can sign you up using the email address you provided, or you can sign up on your own. Make sure you check your email for the feedburner confirmation email otherwise you are not completely signed up. Thank you and have a great week!!
