Last Day of
School :(
Families,
What a great day Track and Field Day was!!! The students were so well behaved and did their best for each event!!! This is our last week together, I can't even believe it!!! This has been one of my best years ever!! Yes, even with the pandemic!! This class was so good through it all!!! Not everyday was perfect, but darn close!!! I would so love to have them again next year, but I am still not sure where Admin. is going to put me. I want to thank all the parents for being so involved in your child's education!! It really makes a big difference. It does take a Village for our littles to succeed.  I hope you all have a wonderful summer and please come find me next fall. I would love to see you all again!!!  Face to face, I hope!!!  If you know your child will be out early this week, please let me know so I can get their belongings ready. Report cards will go home this Friday!! I appreciate all you have done this year!!

A fun week is planned! We are having lunch at the City Park this Thursday. Please make sure you have a bag lunch for your child!!!

Track and Field day!!!

wear red
Families,
So crazy to think we are down to the last couple weeks of school!!! Can't believe it! Track and Field day is this Friday. If the weather does not cooperate, we will try again on May 25th. Please be sure to have water bottle/s (with name on it), sunscreen, and running shoes for your child. The students will eat in the classroom, unless you want to eat outside together. Just be sure to be back on the track in time. The students will come to class in the morning as usual and I will walk them out to the track after announcements. Your child is welcome to sit by you on the hillside and bleachers, but again, be sure they are ready for their events. Grade 4 will start with field events first and track is after lunch.  We typically eat around 11:00, roughly!!! If you have any other questions about the day, please let me know!!  This week continues with learning. Spelling will go over prefixes: uni, bi, and tri. Math will cover Volume. Science finishing Volcanoes. Social St. finishing Government and Minnesota History.

DARE Grad.
1:45

Families,
This week is Late Start. We will have a full day on Friday!! Wednesday will be our last DARE class with graduation on Friday at 1:45. The office will send out a link for you to watch on boxcast. This will also be the last week with the chrome books. Our return date is the 18th. All Library books will need to be turned in May 20th. As for next year and looping, I have not heard yet where I will be. There is a chance this group will be put into two groups instead of three as it is now. Please let the Superintendent and Principal know how you feel about this (positive or not). With the numbers being a little low with families staying home due to masks and distance learning, this is changing our classroom numbers. It would be awesome if we could get everyone back, but totally understand all the options out there. Academics this week will continue. Spelling is long and short "e". Math will start Order of Operations with Exponents and then Volume. Soc. St. will continue with Government and Science continues with Volcanoes. Have a wonderful week!!

Families,

I blinked and all of a sudden it's May!!! What a fun month this will be! We have class pictures next Wednesday, May 12. If you would like your child to have a change of clothes for after the picture, that is fine. Next Friday, May 14 is our DARE graduation. It will be students and staff only this year. The kids had great discussions with the Officer!!! The following Friday, the 21st is Track and Field day...(the 25th will be the make up day if needed.)  Information was sent home in the Wed. envelope.  This week in class we will continue with Spelling and Reading Comprehension. Reading Skills will cover Text Evidence and Cause & Effect. Math will go over Elapsed time and Exponents. Social St. will begin Government. Science will start Volcanoes (I believe).  To the Mom's...Have a wonderful weekend!!! To all, have a great weekend!
