Thank you for taking time out of your day to meet with me to discuss your student/s academics.  I am so lucky to have the class I have!!! NWEA Reading scores will go home Monday. Please let me know if you have any questions!  We are not sure about MCA at this point, so we are preparing as if they are going to happen. That being said, we are going to start that process. You will be getting some test prep packets. I will go over expectations with the students before they are sent home. This is an important test, but please do not make it so big it scares the students.

This week we kick of I Love to Read month. A lot of fun activities happening and some GREAT prizes to be won by the students for reading!!!!! More to come...

Rotations~ Reading Skills will go over Making Connections. Science is finishing Simple Machine projects. Social St. will learn about the Cherokee Nation.

We have Late Start this Friday. Class will begin like any other late start day (10:00am).

This week, Character Ed. will begin for the remainder of the year. Conferences are Tuesday and Thursday. Please let me know if you are not able to make the scheduled time. I can always make adjustments. NWEA Math is done!  I was pleased with the math scores!!  NWEA Reading will be tested on Thursday.  Math will begin Fractions. Social St. will finish up with Winter Count projects. Science is going into Simple Machines, and Reading Skills will cover Monitor Comprehension. Have a great week!!!

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! The weather was great for some outside fun!! This week we will wrap up dividing and have a test later in the week. Please practice math flash cards each night so your child gets fluent with their facts. So important!!  The spelling test for list 9 will be on Friday this week.  

My class will be taking the NWEA test in Reading and Math. This will provide me with current data as to where our gaps are and what I need to do moving forward. We also have conferences coming up, please be sure to sign up and I will send you a google meet link. This is the same format as we had in the fall.

No School Independent  Learning Day Check in 10-11 am

Families,

Welcome back to the building!! I am excited to see all the faces in person again!! It always feels like it has been forever since I have been with the kids during remote learning. We are having a regular week with the exception of Friday being an independent learning day. The students will need to check in between 10-11 a.m.  Their work will be in our google classwork.  A reminder we have conferences coming up Jan. 26 and Jan. 28. They will be video conferences again. The office will be sending you a link to sign up yourselves. Sign Up Genius.  Look for that to come out soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

I hope you all had a nice and relaxing break! I sure did!! Although, I am ready to get back to my daily routine...somewhat.

We will follow the same schedule we did back in Decembers remote learning. Please have your child log into the correct class at the correct time. I will send an email to all students with a detailed schedule to keep them organized.  

Can't wait to see all the happy faces on google meet!!!
