We made it to winter break!! A few fun dress up days this week!! I am treating grade 6 to pizza on Wednesday, if your child is not a fan, they can bring a cold lunch or have school lunch. They may bring a drink of their liking!!   I hope you all have a wonderful break!! Enjoy time with family and friends ! Stay healthy and safe.  See you in 2022!!!

We may just have a white Christmas after all!?! I hope you had a nice weekend and were able to spend time with your family. A few thigs going on this week.  Report cards will be emailed out Monday. Tuesday is Late Start, wear Irish Pride shirts. Friday is Hat Day, each dollar that is brought in will go towards PBIS to make Christmas baskets for local families that need some assistance this season. For those that were thinking of Catch Up Club, the numbers are low, so we are going to try again after winter break. In the meantime, we may be able to get an after school tutor to help out. Let me know if you are interested.  Have a wonderful week!   Bring in a colorful or designed sock!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a productive long weekend!! I am so Thankful for this group of students!! No two days are ever the same, and I love it!!  Our first trimester ends this Friday!! Report cards will be ready the following Wednesday. If you have not signed up for Parent Portal yet, please do. You will have access to grades anytime you like. The next three and a half weeks of school will be on a regular schedule. It seems like there is always something that interrupts our day. Its all good though!! Looks like the weather will continue to cooperate for a while yet...snow for break would be nice, I'm not going to lie!!  Anyway, I hope you have a great week!!

Thanksgiving Day

Dance slips and money are due Monday, Nov. 22 by 3:00 pm. The dance is on Wed. at the Maple Lake Legion. Please pick up your child on or before 5:00 pm. Catch Up Club starts Dec. 7th. It will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:15. You will need to provide transportation home. This is a great opportunity for your child to get homework done or get extra help. Please let me know if you are interested, I will be sending out invitations Monday, Nov. 22. Forms are due back Nov. 29.  Thank you and I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Well, the chilly weather is now here. Please make sure your child has warm items for outside!! Our next book report will require a shoe box. If you have any laying around the house, please send them to school with your child. I will need to send in the book order right away Monday, if not sooner. Scholastic is backed up with shipping out orders. I should have them in by Dec. 17 or so. Be sure to check in with your child to see which country they have chosen for the Festival of Nations. Also, be sure to sign the permission slip for Science class, dissecting. I hope you all had a nice weekend and have a wonderful week. Thanksgiving week is Mon-Wed. only!

This is conference week. We are meeting in person at your scheduled time. I will go over MCA results and NWEA results. Now is a great time for us to make a plan for your student and the rest of the year. I/we can also talk about concerns and celebrations. The book fair is open this year. Please be sure to check it out. There are a lot of great books and stocking stuffers. Any purchases will help the school raise money for different things. No spelling this week, but please keep reading each night!!!  The school is looking for rocks!! They will be painted and used out front to decorate the front lawn. If you have any rocks laying around, we would like the size of your palm. Now that the temps are really playing games with us, make sure your student is dressed for the weather. I will see you at conferences, and have a great long weekend!!

Look for conference slips that went home in the Friday Folder. If the date and time will not work, please let me know ASAP so I can try and make arrangements for you. Conferences are Oct. 18-19 from 4-7 and Oct. 20 from 8-3. The book fair will be open during this time. Purchases on Oct. 20 will need to be done by noon as the book fair will be taken down at that time. October is Unity month, we are wearing orange on Fridays (when we can) to show Unity against bullying. We have some work to do in this area! Picture retake will be Oct. 27th. Please reach out to me if you have any concerns. I can't fix things if I don't know about them. Have a great week!!

Homecoming week!! Monday is America Day...wear Red, White, and Blue!! Thursday is class color ~ gr 6 wears black, and Friday is Irish Spirit!! Go Irish!!!  We sent our first letter in the mail!! Please make sure you have an address for your child and that your child knows their own address!! Staff will be setting up conferences soon. A note will be sent in the Wed. envelope. If the date and time you get will not work, please let me know asap so I can make arrangements. I will go over MCA results from this spring and NWEA scores. We are still plugging away on Irish Expectations. I am not sending a book order for Oct. We have the book fair coming in and get proceeds from that. The book fair will be open during conferences again. I am starting Flashlight Friday. If you have a flashlight your child can bring in, please send it with them. They will be used during Reading! Have a wonderful week!!
