         Day!!!

Families,
Well, let's hope the weather will be kind and let us have our field day this week!! Stay tuned!!  We are taking a local field trip this week to the Library downtown Maple Lake. The ladies have a short presentation for the students. On our way back, we will do community clean up. Please send a pair of gloves for your child to use when picking up litter. We have one last rotation this week in Science class. The last few days of class will be homeroom only. If you are joining us for the Fort Snelling field trip, please be sure to have the volunteer training completed. Celeste D. may contact you if you need an update or if you need to do the training all together. The summer break fever has hit!! Please remind your child to keep using those Irish Expectations until the very end of the school year. The days are out of the ordinary, but that does not allow for poor choices. Lets end the year having more fun and getting along with our classmates.  Thank you parents for a great year!!!!!

         Day!!!

Families,
We are starting our 10 day countdown. Each day there will be an activity for the class to participate in. I have a copy on the back of this newsletter and a copy on my blog page. This is a list the students put together!! I can hardly believe only 10 days left with these kiddos! It's like saying good-bye to family...I don't like it! After 22 years, it does not get any easier!! As I mentioned in my newsletter last week, I am going to 4th grade next year. I will not be looping, but may have some previous students from 3rd grade. Super excited to teach 4th grade again. I like to challenge myself and my students!
This week will be a regular schedule except for Friday. Please remember No School Monday!!
It was so fun to see all the Grandparents come in for the program. The kids get so excited for this day!! The teachers do too!
Have a great week and enjoy the long weekend!! Be safe!!

Grandparent's
Day

Families,
I hope all the Mom's had a Happy Mother's Day!!
This is the time of the year I start getting emotional. I truly care for these students as if they were my own and want only the best for them!! I am going to 4th grade next year and may have some familiar faces in my class!!! Super excited to see those faces again in my class!!!!  So, speaking of class...this week we are testing Topic 18 in Math and starting Topic 19 Dividing. Planting in Science, Fort Snelling in Soc. St.  This will be the last spelling test for real this week. The focus will be Superlative and Comparative words. We talked about these words in our Grammar class.
If you are volunteering for school functions please be sure you have had the training. If you are not sure please contact Celeste Dahlstrom at 320-963-6600.
Have a wonderful week!!!

Families,
I blinked and all of a sudden it's May!!! What a fun month this will be! We have class pictures on Wednesday. If you would like your child to have a change of clothes for after the picture, that is fine. Next week we have Grandparents Day on Friday the 17th.  The following Friday, the 24th is Track and Field day...(the 28th will be the make up day if needed.)  No school Monday the 27thFort Snelling June 3rd and Banana splits June 4th.  A reminder that Wolf reports will be starting, if you have any books at home your child can use, please send them to school. Luckily I found a couple more Spelling lists for us to work on :) Great minds never rest!  Math will continue multiplying and dividing. Science class is planting our school gardens and Social Studies is covering Fort Snelling History.  Have a great week!!
