We collected $1,651.49 for the EDUCATION pillar to send 33 kids to school in Haiti. Our goal was to collect 1500.00 so we met that goal!!!!!!

Families,
Wow...March is almost over already!!! We have four days of school this week. The spelling test will be on Thursday!! Our spelling pattern is Final -y, -ey, -ie. Math will continue with review and Topic 17~Time. Math test on Thursday. Please keep working on those review packs that were sent home in the Wed. envelope. This will help keep all they have learned fresh in their minds. MCA is April 18-19 and 21-22. Science is finishing the body system and Social Studies is finishing Economics. Throw back Thursday...dress up from back in the day :)  Have fun with this ;)

Great trun out for our first Arts & Activities Night!! Thank you all for the awesome donations and the auctioning!!! I hope everyone had a good time!!!

 May 20 is Track and Field Day, May 24 is the Fort Snelling Field trip.

We seem to be struggling a little in the classroom with cooperation this month. Please talk with your child about this and remind them we only have a few months of school left and to hang there...

REMINDER~Be sure to send in extra clothes and snack.  PE shoes as well.

Love the warm weather we've been having!!! I hope you have a chance to get out and enjoy it!! Should be a great weekend for a parade!!
Tuesday night is our Arts & Activites Night. Join us at 5:15 for a pizza dinner and then from 6-7:30 go to a variety of stations for some fun projects. From 7:30-8:00 we have a special guest~Dr. Fun. You don't want to miss it!! Prizes will be announced after the show!!  There will also be a book fair going on during this time~ great way to stock up on summer reading!!! Be sure to check out the Silent Auction Baskets~nice items to bid on!!!! Hope to see you there!!  This week in Math we will cover Topics 15 & 16~measuring and area. Science will cover the digestive system and respiratory system while Social Studies will cover Government and finish up Economics. Word Study will cover Agents~Understand that words that refer to people who do things.

HAT DAY!!!

Families,
Welcome March!! I have to say this winter has been a very strange one!! I hope we do not get hit hard with a big snow storm now!! Think positive, right?
This week in Math we are going to cover two Topics~14&15 Measurement. Spelling will cover the rule of Unaccented Final Syllables -er, -ar, -or. Social Studies is covering Entrepreneurs! Science will continue with the body system. Hat day this Friday...bring in coins for Haiti and wear a school appropriate hat :). 
We are still collecting for the Art and Movie baskets...
