I hope everyone had an enjoyable week off!! So excited to hear all the stories!! We have some fun things happening during the month of April! First, April is Autism Awareness month. Please have your child/student wear Blue every Friday this month in honor of those with Autism. Second, Twins baseball has started! This Thursday wear something Twins to kick off the baseball season. And third, MCA testing will begin next week. You should have a schedule of dates. If not, let me know so I can get you a copy. Grade 3 will test April 9-10 Reading,  and April 23-24 Math. Please make sure they get a good nights sleep. The school will provide a breakfast for those testing. This does not come out of their lunch account. If you have any questions let me know. This week will be a lot of review and test taking skills.

One last week until a well deserved break!! This week.....Math will begin Topic 15~Metric Measurement and Topic 16~Perimeter, Area, and Volume. Spelling is the rule of Hard C and Soft C. Science will continue with Body Systems and Soc. St. will finish up Budgets. I am sending home a math and reading pack for your child to work on over break. I would like them returned on Mon., Apr. 1st. We have lost a lot of classroom time and I want to make sure the kids are prepared as best as possible before Apr. 9th. Thank you for helping with this!!

Reminder...No later start the rest of the school year. That being said, another full week! We need it! Math is starting Topic 14 ~ Customary Measurement. Science is beginning The Body System. Social Studies will start Budgeting. Spelling is the rule of Final -y, -ey, and ie. Reading Skills will review Compare/Contrast and Inferences.

Ok March, in like a lamb and out like a lamb...PLEASE!! I think this is the first time I wish winter would be done. Since there isn't anything we can do about it, I guess lets make the most of it... 

 Spelling we are going to learn about the rule of Agents (people who do something) -er, -or, and -ar,. Math will finish Topic 13 Money and Decimals. Reading Skills is covering Cause and Effect/Fact and Opinion. Science will continue with Planets/Earth and Social St. will finish up Economics. We have Hat day this Friday. The money collect will go to Juvenile Diabetes research.  I Love to Read month is in the books...the finale was a game of bowling which was a lot of fun!!! Thank you to those that returned their reading calendar!!

Remember we do not have late start for the remainder of this year.
